St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP), founded by Blessed Frederic Ozanam, is a Catholic lay agency that offers person-to-person service to our neighbors in need. SVDP has been serving Georgia since 1903 and is the oldest and largest statewide social services organization in Georgia. The mission of SVDP is to serve our neighbors with love and respect: delivering help, hope, and pathways to self-sufficiency.

The Middle Georgia Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society helps families in numerous ways including:

  • Financial assistance for rent, mortgage, and utilities.

  • Stabilizing services including emergency services for overnight and day shelter.

  • Supply household goods, furniture, and small appliances.

  • Provide food through the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank located at St. Peter Claver Church.

To schedule a pick-up of donated household goods, furniture, and/or small appliances, please contact Nancy Taylor at taylorna2642@gmail.com or Margaret Skene at gmskene@att.net.
